IDENTIFICATION (PMI)
Fourier transform infra-red spectrometer (FTIR)NC
An analytical technique used to identify organic,
polymeric and, in some cases, inorganic materials using an infrared light to scan test samples and observe chemical properties.
Optical emission spectrometry (OES)NC
OES analysis is a rapid method for determining the elemental composition of a variety of metals and alloys through
applying a sparking process which applies an electrical
charge to the sample, vaporising a small amount of material.
Once this spark occurs, a discharge plasma with a distinct
chemical signature is created, allowing our engineers to
determine the elemental breakdown of the sample.
X-Ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF)NC
XRF spectrometry is a non-destructive analytical technique
used to determine the composition of
materials. XRF analyzers determine the chemistry of a sample
by measuring the fluorescent (or secondary) X-ray emitted
from a sample when
it is excited by a primary X-ray source.
